A charitable institution has raised concerns over the addiction of kids on computer games. Social workers belonging to Wing South West have observed that computer games for kids have turned a whole generation of kids into game addicts. The children are losing sleep due to constant gaming. The look on their face is that of a zombie.
Paul Bowser, a worker at Wing South West, says these computer games for kids make most of the young people look drugged because of lack of sleep. He adds that this is due to the technological changes that have taken place over the last couple of years as this was certainly not the case a few years back.
According to Robert Hart Fletcher of Kids and Media, a charitable institution, though video games have been there for quite a while, the effect computer games for kids is having on young gamers, is quite alarming, as they are always in a virtual world. He adds that young people are not valuing genuine relationships as was the case earlier. These days relationships are more virtual in nature, where compassion and empathy are not necessary. Computer games for kids have surely raised quite a concern so far as young gamers are concerned.
